Frequently Asked Questions

What are the minimums?  Each vessel type has its own minimum (from 24-30 pieces), please see the page for each style for more info.  Additional units can always be added.

What is the turnaround time?  We typically turn around an order for in-stock items within three to five business days for 30-40 pieces; larger orders will need additional time for production.  Note that payment is due in full before production will begin.  

How long will it take for the order to arrive?  We ship out of Boise, Idaho using UPS Ground as they are usually more 'white glove' with fragile items than other providers.  UPS Ground typically takes 2-6 business days depending on your relation to Boise.

Do you use essential oils?  Our pure fragrance oils are often infused with essential oils, however straight EOs is not only very expensive to source, they are also not always meant to be set on fire and can often have less than desirable results when met with flame.  Many are not meant to be used in candle applications and can even be dangerous to inhale for you or your pets.  Our fragrances are phthalate and paraben-free and rated for candle making.  They also smell exactly like they're supposed to.

Do you offer packaging for retail/boxes/shipping?  No, sorry. We provide the candles; the packaging is up to you.  We highly suggest you wait to receive your candles before ordering any packaging to go along with it so you can make sure to have correct measurements.

Do you offer custom labeling?  No, sorry. We provide the candles; the labeling (sourcing, design, information/safety warning, priting, etc) is up to you.  Many clients use Avery or OnlineLabels for printing, but we also suggest looking locally for someone who can help as well.

Are there price breaks for larger quantities?  Price breaks are available once we are able to ship using pallets, which is where the savings will come from (shipping heavy candles is expensive!).  This is typically around 300-500 units depending on the style.

Can I send you my own vessels for you to fill?  Maybe.  Not everything is meant to be a candle, but if you have something in mind, just reach out.  Vessels need to hold at LEAST 8oz volume, 24 pieces minimum per order.  Email hello@brandlesshome.com to discuss.  

I want an extra strong, intensely scented candle. Can you put double fragrance oil in mine?  We already use the max fragrance load for soy wax; adding more would clog the wick and potentially create an unblended, messy candle that seeps fragrance oil.  One of the trade offs of the many benefits of soy wax (including a slower, cleaner burn for a longer-lasting candle) is that it will produce a slightly more subtle hot throw when lit.  The addition of coconut (cocosoy) will usually allow for a stronger hot throw, and we are also happy to make suggestions for fragrances that have typically proven to be more intense.

Can you put glitter, dye/color, crystals, botanicals or imbeds in my candles?  No, sorry.  We make straight-forward, undyed soy and cocosoy wax candles with pure fragrance oils and cotton wicks; nothing else.  Due to potential liability concerns (fire hazards, candle failure, volatile or poor reactions, etc), we won't even entertain putting anything in or on top of candles at this time.

Do I have to have a tax ID?  Yes.  We cannot fulfill bulk orders without a valid Tax ID Number.  

How do scent samples work?  We offer scent samples for Private Label in the form of 8oz travel tins filled half way, which allows the cold and hot throw to be experienced since the actual tester can be lit like a finished candle.  Samples are $5 ea, minimum six samples.  Our full scent assortment can be found HERE.  If you would like to order a full-sized finished candle, we're happy to accommodate at retail price plus shipping; if you proceed with a bulk order, we will credit the difference in cost for the full priced sample(s).  Please email hello@brandlesshome.com to be invoiced for your Scent Sample request.

Can scents be blended?  Can I rename scents?  Scents can absolutely be blended together in a 50/50 ratio.  YES, please rename the fragrances to suit your brand as the scents listed here are what we use for our company.  

What is the Return/Exchange/Damage Policy?  Soy wax may be affected by changes in humidity and temperature during shipping, including slight changes in wax color/texture or pulling away from the glass (aka "wet spot", mostly visible in clear glass).  This does not happen regularly, but is completely normal and does not affect the quality of the candle or make it defective.  As these candles are being custom made, they cannot be returned or exchanged.  Any damage in shipping must be reported by email within five days of receipt with photos of shipping box, damaged product and quantity of damaged units; please email hello@brandlesshome.com should this occur and we will discuss options.  As the product arrives completely blank, Private Label clients are responsible for any safety and warning labels.

We ship to the address you provide during check out; please make sure this address is completely accurate and able to receive UPS deliveries.  All bulk orders ship with insurance coverage and Signature Required at the time of delivery to help insure your candles are not sitting outside in the elements or that your investment does not get stolen or mis-delivered.  Should theft or mis-delivery occur, you should file a claim with UPS and we will assist with the investigation as much as possible.
